December 31 – Clock Tower Quay / simulcast at the Jacques-Cartier Quay and Place Jacques-Cartier.
Say hello to 2018 as you watch the Jacques Cartier Bridge come alive in spectacular light, followed by a dazzling display of fireworks.
At 9 p.m., the New Year’s Eve Party kicks off at the Jacques-Cartier Quay with a line-up of artists that will keep the crowds moving and grooving until the Grand Décompte, when a breathtaking new look for the Jacques-Cartier Bridge is unveiled. Next, the reins will be handed over to Champion et ses G-strings, who will get the crowds hopping and bopping into the wee hours.
At 11:45 p.m., look on as the Jacques Cartier Bridge lights up to the music of a live soundtrack. This brand-new co-creation by Moment Factory and Atomic3 promises to give Montréal’s historic year an absolutely scintillating send-off!
When the clock strikes twelve, watch as fireworks burst high in the sky and merge with the bridge’s magnificent light in this grandiose entrance to the New Year. From La Ronde to Parc Jean-Drapeau to the tip of Île Saint-Hélène, they’ll be exploding across the night sky in a never-before-seen pyrotechnic performance!
